Our Future
OUR FUTURE AIMS ARE to:
In early 2019 we laid out the aims of this charity in brief. However, as a result of the Covid -19 pandemic as we are all well aware of, charities throughout the world and ours included have suffered greatly through the lack of fund raising activities by locals and visitors to our island for the past 18 months.
As a result this has set us back by at least 18 -24 months and inevitably this has lead to a review of timescales and priorities which are set out below.
ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ESSENTIAL MEDICINE SERVICE TO OUR ISLAND
PHASE 1. - Immediate Priority Aim: - Next 6 Months
-
We have ordered a new hyperbaric chamber from Germany and are desperately seeking fund raising to meet the final instalment for payment to the manufacturer prior to shipment.
PHASE 2. - Medium Term Aim: - 12 Months – 18 Months
-
Prior to and immediately after the arrival of the New Hyperbaric Chamber – Refurbishment of the current existing Peel Road Facility, build a medical consultation room and storage room, provide a patient examination room, waiting room, and complete the new plant room. We need to reconstruct the front entrance wall and porch, construct a new control room together with replacement of all utility services.
-
Installation and commissioning of the New Hyperbaric Chamber and all new plant accoutrements for the system.
-
Secure funding to provide a hyperbaric medicine service.
-
To recruitment and train a team of medical professionals qualified to provide a service here at the facility in Peel Road this will include staff and volunteers.
-
Re-establishment of a Hyperbaric Medicine Service to our Island.
-
A period of consolidation
LONG TERM AIM
-
The charity will always be reliant upon sufficient funding to cover the costs of providing a reliable service.
Any residue will be set aside to provide funding that will inevitably be needed when the charity will need to relocate and build its own facility.
